Dr Hippy
As some of my more loyal readership will know (those that are allowed time on the web if they take the medicines like good little patients) I’ve been after a PhD for a bit.
I’d like to get one, just so I can use the title “Dr”. Dr Hippy has a good ring to it.
Mostly I’d like to take the mickey out of all those people who get all snobbish about qualifications and degrees.
I don’t intend to go to university for several years. Been there, done that, got the debts (but not the papers). I’ve learned far more in the real world than I did at uni. For this reason, I want to buy a PhD from one of those online universities in America (land of the free - if you’ve got the cash).
I promise to use the title “Dr”, but to let anyone I deal with know that I bought the thing. I’m not going to use it to claim I can do stuff I can’t.
I can’t justify spending the money though, so I decided to ask for donations. I figured if someone else gives me the money, just for the PhD, it’s okay. On my old website, I had a few donors (sorry guys, the server crash killed my list - but you know who you are), but I still need to raise another £100 (ish). I’m going to add a donate link here again soon.
Selling that page on eBay didn’t do the trick (it made 13p profit) and asking for donations only netted a few quid from mates, so I need something else.
If anyone has any ideas for fundraising (without any real material outlay by me - that’s essential), please comment!
