Blank looks

An unfailingly polite lady called to ask for help with a Windows installation that had gone terribly wrong.
Customer: “I brought my Windows disks from work to install them on my home computer.”
Training stresses that we are “not the Software Police,” so I let the little act of piracy slide.
Tech Support: “Umm-hmm. What happened?”

About

The Hippy (aka Jim Evans) was born in 1973 and has spent most of his life pushing technology as far as it can go, then giving it another shove to make sure.

He works in a bank writing internal software, runs websites for the fun of it, and campaigns for Greenpeace in his spare time.

This is his blog.
